Supporting the child with ADHD
There can be few schools nowadays that are not familiar with the term ADHD - Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder. Most teachers will at some point encounter the particular learning and social needs of pupils with this disorder. So it's important they know just what is meant by ADHD, how it affects the pupils concerned, how we identify it, and what we can do to deal with it in our schools.
This course aims to provide you an increased understanding of ADHD along with strategies for recognising and working with ADHD pupils. It's designed for teachers and support staff who come into contact with ADHD pupils on a regular basis.
This course consists of three modules:
- What is ADHD?
- Identifying and understanding ADHD
- Helping children with ADHD succeed in school
